We had a very relaxing stay at this family-friendly hotel. Clean venue, truly enjoyed being near all the mountains covered in green grass and trees. - the rooms were reasonably large and had smoke detectors for safety.

We truly enjoyed staying in this hotel, it was great and excellent. We had a very relaxing stay thanks to property's amicable and accommodating staff. Its location in Salalah was favourable and unbeatable, near Away from the center, Salalah from June to September and the outskirts of Salalah town. Furthermore, on a beautiful beach.

Quiet location. Nobody in the resort. A beautiful view on the sunrise: from the bed. A king size bed.
The breakfast is very poor : bad pineapple in can, no fresh fruits, we must ask to obtain one banana ! The first day every thing was very bad perhaps because there were few tourists in the hotel. The staff is very very cool : I asked for ironing, it was broken and even dangerous....

A spacious budget friendly place in a sprawling complex ..the rooms were huge and adequately furnished. A comfy place close to the beach best suited for the budget conscious.....can be a far better place if they pull up their socks a bit... The Hilton bar was close by...
Rooms were a little bit smelly to start off with..they gave us room freshners afterwards and then it was ok. Room Service was slow..needed persistent calls No alcohol served...

The View is ok.
The staff are horrible. Especially, Kumar, the reservation manager, lies all the time. Our experience was, we emailed the hotel to ask if they do have an airport shuttle as they advertised on Booked.net. Kumar replied they don't have a shuttle bus. So they actually lie on Booked.net. But to attract us, Kumar offered arrangement- to arrange a vehicle from the airport to the hotel. Then he asked us for the booking number and flight schedule. Because of the airport shuttle, we booked this hotel. However, when we arrived, there was no vehicle from the hotel at all! We called the hotel for 5 times. Either nobody answered or the person directly hung up after picking up the phone. This results us to struggle in the hot sun (40+ degree) to get to the hotel by walking, taxi, etc. On top of the inconvenience, it took us two hours! So when we arrived at the hotel, we were too exhausted to enjoy. Our holiday started with such a disaster. The worst part is, when we talked to the staff there, they thought it's so normal even without apologizing! After communicated, we find that almost all the guests stayed in this hotel started with high expectation due to Kumar's lies but end with huge disappointment and even angry. And most of the staff there speak bad English, so there is little way to communicate. An example- Guest: "Can we ride a camel here?" Staff: "Sure." Guest: "How can we find the camel riding and what should we do to ride a camel?" Staff: "I don't know."

Quiet location. Comfortable beds. Please note I am not fussy about accommodation and I rarely write bad reviews, but please see below.
Spent 3 nights at Samahram Tourist Village. I would not return... Firstly the co-ordinates listed on the website are quite wrong! None of the staff on duty at that time spoke any English so when we called for directions they couldn't help. For reference, stv is next to the Hilton, so if you can find that on the satnav you can find this place. It took us over and hour of driving about. Rooms were ok. Clean but bare and the bathroom had seen many better days. Breakfast was appalling and I'm not a remotely fussy eater. Most of the buffet was empty as were the juice jugs and what remained was terrible - even the baked beans were bad!!?! We didn't bother with breakfast again after the first day. Location is ok. You need a car in Salalah no matter what. Hotel has a board of activites (dolphin trips etc) available in the area. Staff will not ring and make reservations for you but you can pay to use their landline and call yourself... We did, but they didn't answer... Also worth noting it took the hotel two weeks to charge my credit card for the stay.

First of all, the hotel offers small apartments in chalets (4 apartments per chalet) including kitchenette rather than the usual hotel rooms. The bedroom is large. It is located onto the beach and also has a swimming pool.
The only small drawback comes from the location on the container-ship harbor side. However, the Hilton is even closer to the harbor and people do not seem to complain.

The chalet was of particular interest as it were the first chalets we stayed at in Oman. It is within walking distance to the main beach for an evening/sunset stroll on the beach. The kids enjoyed the swimming pools & jacuzzi thoroughly. This resort is great for families who wants to stay at the resort throughout the day to relax and is indeed highly recommended.
Upon arrival the hotel never received my modified booking confirmation from Booked.net so that was a bit of an issue and a dissappointment on Booked.net's side as we never had problems before, however the Omani lady sorted it out for us. This resort only catered for men at the health spa and couldn't refer me to a spa for ladies which was a bit of a dissappointment.
